The tracks that held up the Skytubes are still intact on the ceiling, as seen here. Speaking of which- I recently discovered that the local Hampton location got rid of their tubes not too long ago. That sucks. First the ballpit and now those? Those tubes were my favorite part of going to CEC when I was a kid and I'm sure others feel the same way. I understand that they could be difficult for employees to clean, but now the space looks emptier without them and the kids only have the games to play now. When I think about it, though, maybe they were rid of because the restaurant wasn't making any money off the tubes- I don't remember CEC having an entrance fee so anyone could just walk in and utilize them without buying tokens or food. Ah well.
