Brown-Breasted Flycatcher - a photo on Flickriver

            A new bird for me, seen in the backyard. Very quiet and tiny and so easy to miss. But luckily it is not too shy and it was easy to approach. The species breeds in north eastern India, central and Southern China and northern Burma and Thailand, and migrates to southern India and Sri Lanka. It forages for insects below the canopy, often close to the ground. Nice to know a bird coming from so far in the north chose my backyard as a refuge in which to spend a few months.
