Sometimes when you find an exciting subject, it's occasionally difficult to let it go without photographing it from every angle available. Our trip to White Sands National Park was a short stop while driving from Arkansas to California. I had learned about the trees that can be found inside the dunes that make excellent subjects, and I was obsessed with finding one in my limited time there. Thankfully I found one without having to look too much but then fell into the trap of finding every angle and lighting possibility for this beautiful subject. I returned multiple times to the tree at sunrise and sunset to see if I could get a different image. And it worked. On both days we were there, the golden hours were very diffused, and with the dunes reflecting light up to the scene, I could get some beautiful images.
