This spring, I have been fortunate to discover a few popular bird-watching spots near my home, which I visit at least once a week. One of my current favorite spots is the San Joaquin Marsh area near Irvine. The area boasts several miles of trails comprising different bird habitats. I was thrilled to witness the arrival of tree swallows, who built their nests in the area. Over the past few weeks, they have been quite busy preparing their nests and raising young ones, which has been a delight to capture in photographs. While I am still getting the hang of tracking these swift-moving birds with my 800mm lens, I have been able to capture some stunning close-up shots of these gorgeous birds.
