Sand Dunes

            Sand dunes are small ridges or hills of sand found at the top of a beach/deserts. They form from wind blown sand that is initially deposited against an obstruction such as a bush, driftwood or rock. A dune is a hill of sand built by aeolian processes. Dunes are subject to different forms and sizes based on their interaction with the wind.Dunes in  desserts consists of rolling sand dunes lapping the foothills of the mountains.

 Until a decade or two ago, the dunes were inhabited by nomadic Bedouin roaming with their flocks and herds. Today the nomads have all settled, in villages in the few fertile oases or valleys, or else in the city.

Today  Sand Dunning is  big  entertainment of  the Gulf  regions, for  foreigners  who settle in  Gulf.  The experience the magic of a true desert at  a sea of constantly shifting sands, is  unbelievable.

 A drive through the awe inspiring sand dunes is a must.The scientists suggested that the most beautiful sounds come from dunes in Oman. From the bustle of Dubai city also, you can enjoy  the desert of golden sand dunes. You can take sunset photographs,standing on top of the fading desert dunes.You can enjoy  short camel rides. Afterwards purchase some souvenirs before relaxing on a majlis (low cushions) in traditional Bedouin tents. Enjoy an Arabian BBQ (barbeque/barbecue) buffet dinner and dessert beside a blazing bonfire with traditional coffee and dates, underneath the pitch-dark night sky, with stars shining. 

ഒരു അനുഭവം.........ജനാല വഴി കടുത്ത ചൂട് രാവിലെ തന്നെ ആരംഭിച്ചിരുന്നു. എന്നിട്ടും മരുക്കാറ്റിലേക്ക് , നോക്കി എത്ര മനോഹരം എന്ന് പറയാതിരിക്കാനായില്ല. മരുഭൂമി ആസ്വദിക്കാന്‍ അത്തിന്റെ ചാരുതയാര്‍ന്ന  മരുപ്പച്ചകള്‍,   കാണാന്‍   സാന്‍ഡ്യൂണ്‍  സവാരികള്‍ വളരെ നല്ലതാണ്. അവ നമ്മെ ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ  മറ്റൊരു അദ്ധ്യായത്തിലെക്ക് , അതിന്റെ അനുഭവത്തിലേക്കെത്താന്‍   സഹായിക്കുന്നു, പ്രത്ര്യേകിച്ച് ഗള്‍ഫില്‍, 

കേരളത്തെ കുറിച്ച് പണ്ട് കവി പാടിയത്
“മാമലകള്‍ക്കപ്പുറത്ത് മരതകപ്പട്ടുടുത്ത്..” എന്നാണ്  എന്നാല്‍ ഇവിടെ മരതക കാന്തിയോടെ സൂര്യപ്രകാശത്തില്‍ ഇളം വെയില്‍ കൊള്ളുന്ന മഞ്ഞു പുതച്ച മണല്‍ നഗരം ആരെയും, വല്ലാതെ കൊതിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.രാത്രിയില്‍ ഇതിനു മനൊഹാരിതയേറുന്നു.സുഭിക്ഷമായ  അറബിക് ഭക്ഷണങ്ങളും,റ്റാറ്റു, ഹെന്ന  എന്നി വരക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീകളും, സംഗീതസാന്ദ്രമായ  അന്തരീക്ഷം , നമ്മള്‍ക്കും  പങ്കുചേരാവുന്ന നൃത്തങ്ങള്‍ എന്നിവ, വളരെ നല്ല ഒരു  സമയത്തെ നമുക്ക്  ആസ്വദിക്കാം, ഇവിടെ.
