Maier Brewing Company, Los Angeles - a photo on Flickriver

Maier Brewing's flagship brand "Brew 102" could be described politely as an "American Adjunct Ale" and appealed to a demographic that could be considered the polar opposite of the typical craft beer afficionado of today. Maier Brewing was acquired by General Brewing in 1971, Brew 102 was last produced in LA the following year, then the facility was shut down in 1974. The facility remained abandoned and somewhat derelict until it was finally torn down circa 1990. Los Angeles CA USA circa 1986
