My father's house

            This is the house I grew up in.  I moved in here with my dad when I was 10 years old and the house was brand new.  I moved out (for the umpteenth time) June 2005.  Dad still lives here.  It's Christmas, that's why there are lollipops!

Technically, he lives in a suburb called Kingwood, but Houston annexed it several years ago.  Now he Kingwood is officially part of Houston.  The city covers more than 600 square miles and is ranked as the fourth largest city in the US.  With last year's influx of Katrina victims, the population of Houston surged.  However, the 2005 U.S. Census estimate, Houston had a population of more than 2 million. And it is the seventh-largest metropolitan area in the U.S. with a population of 5.3 million in 10 counties.
