St John is Porto’s largest saint’s festival (São João) taking place on the evening of the 23rd of June. It is a popular street celebration. It started officially today.

During this popular festival, decorating shop window panes in the historical quarters of Porto is becoming a ritual. St John has inspired the text by Adélia Carvalho (Book Writer) and the Illustrations by Cristina Valadas (Book Ilustrator). The stories tell about St Jonh travelling around the world.
