White Siberian Iris, Digital Negative

            A black and white negative photograph brings out different detail and contrast than a colored  version.  Floral digital negatives,  work particularly well with dark or light flowers and strongly contrasting backgrounds.  Ideally, the background will end up either black or white.  For this iris picture, I combined several negative photographs and added selective blur.  I was thinking about the language of brush and ink drawing and classical oriental painting and tried to emphasize those qualities.
