Let sleeping kitties lay... - a photo on Flickriver

            little miss psycho kitty on a rare calm moment......She decided that my spot on the couch was going to be hers and since I knew arguing with her would just cause a new round of shred the house, I left her there. 
This is one of the wild kitties we rescued at about 6 weeks old. We found homes for the rest of her litter and kept one. It's interesting trying to tame a cat that was born in the wild and has lived at least 6 weeks without human contact. It takes a long time to gain their trust and acclimate them to a family life. Of course when you have 2 huge monster dogs, one who wanted to eat her and the other who wants to be her playmate, it can be even more interesting. Monster one no longer wants to eat her and pretty much ignores her, but monster 2 still thinks she's a playmate. Occasionally kitty will oblige monster 2 until she gets body slammed and then she won't play for a few days, which bum's monster 2 out real bad and she mopes around untl nkitty gives in and plays again.
