The Murals of Belfast (9) - a photo on Flickriver

            Another interesting colourful  that is located  in the Republican Falls Road area of Belfast.  This one is "Dedicated to all those women who faced up to military aggression." For more information on the murals of Belfast, please see my introduction to this set in the caption of the first image of this set.  While most of the murals I saw were strongly political in their nature, others are dedicated to other cultural and historic aspects of life in Northern Ireland.  Over the past 10 years there has been a  significant movement toward peace and tolerance in Northern Ireland as the society rebuilds itself.   All of my images were photographed from a moving open top hop on hop off tour bus.
