The delightful Turtle Lake just outside Tbilisi

            This is the delightful Turtle Lake (as I later found out), just outside the Tbilisi city centre. This is a particularly popular place for the local residents in summer and is located to the east of the Ethnographic Museum and above Vake Park. People escape the heat of the city to picnic or relax in the cafes overlooking the lake. Just across the narrow road opposite to the lake is yet another spot with superb views of the city.
