A special feature about this ventilator shaft was mentioned in a TV programme- can't remember it now

            A rather tall ventilator shaft right in the middle of the Ta Prohm ruins. It was almost like looking up a tall temple gopura (temple pagoda tower) with it's top chopped off. A special feature of this ventilator shaft was mentioned in an Australian tv programme which I saw on National Geographic tv- sadly my memory fails me and I can't really remember what was mentioned there. My apologies for that. My apologies also for the purplr fringing and the dismal photo quality- I was using a dreadful cigarette case shaped Fujifilm Z2 point and shoot camera, with a slide out mechanism. Although the super compact compact was a joy to hold and use, dreadful internal reflections were the bane of the camera in less than ideal lighting conditions like this one with mixed lighting- intense glare in the mid day sun contrasting with the darkness in the ruin interior. Ta Prohm is one of the scores of Angkor era temples which dot the countryside around Siem Reap, Cambodia. Best known for the many massive tree roots which overwhelm much of the temple ruins, detailed notes about the Ta Prohm temple (where I am now) appeared earlier in this album (see previous pictures) and also appear later as we go along in this album.
