Breakfast Burrito

            Re-fried black beans, scrambled eggs, chipotle salsa, monterey jack, coriander, baked in a whole-wheat tortilla with side guacamole – with salad or homefries ( $10.95).

This ended up being the second part of my brunch as a certain someone ordered it forgetting that a breakfast burrito contains eggs...  It didn't matter as it was super tasty to me.  I loved how the tortilla wrapping was whole wheat (adding to the healthiness), and grilled just right (think Burrito Boyz style), the fillings were hearty, moist but not messy.  A scoop of fresh guacamole (studded by a tomato chunk or two) provided a creamy, cool contrast to the dense and mildly spiced cheesy filling.  I liked how the beans were whole and had substance instead of being a mushy mess (a typical association I have with the mention of refried beans).  Balancing the plate was a wedge of grapefruit and roasted potatoes that had a hint of chili oil and a nice pinch of rosemary.   I almost felt guilty (well, I had *two* breakfast entrees ;P ) but knowing it was all healthy, I happily ate everything!
 
I don't think I have to say much about the plating.  You can see for yourself.  Compared to many other Toronto breakfast joints (particularly those that are overpriced in downtown), I was floored by the simple elegance on the plates presented by Easy's kitchen.  Two thumbs up (that's if you have free hands to give a thumbs up - mine were too busy holding on to my scrumptious food).
