This road from the top of Ørnafjellet (Eagle Mountain) and down to the valley bottom, consists of 27 hairpin turns and ends with a 360 degree spiral inside the mountain before reaching the daylight..... :-)

Several Norwegian fjords have unique features, but Lysefjorden is special in many ways. Along the 45 km long fjord, the steep and majestic mountains rise on both sides. The many attractions and spectacular sights make the fjord one of a kind.

"Helleren" (a small sandy "beach" with a natural shelter under the mountain, a habitat of hunters 2.500 years B.C.), "The Drifter`s Cave" (a ravine in the vertical face of the mountain where the drifters hid from the taxman), "The Pulpit Rock", "Songesand" where small farms cling to the face of the mountain), "Flørli" (a Power Plant which has the longest stairway in the world - 4.444 steps), "Kjerag" and then "Lysebotn".
