South Sudan, market - a photo on Flickriver

            This is the market of Ajuong Thok in Unity state. The market grew from 80 shops to over 120 in less then a year. Goods in the rainy season are now coming also by boat from Juba through the Nile, instead than only by plane as just last year. A money transfer service has also popped up in the market and a mobile company has initiated the provision of mobile-money services. These and more are the so called, visible 'dividends of peace" , which are making the lives of the refugees in Ajuong Thik refugee camp, but also those of the local population, better and closer to normality.
