Let there be light! - a photo on Flickriver

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm excited to unveil my latest process piece for Design Cuts: "Create a Bold, Vector Based Poster Design"

The piece is centered around an old light bulb engraving, that's part of Design Cuts' latest bundle.

The tutorial walks you through my process conceptualizing the piece, as well as through its execution. I hope you'll like it. I cover a few techniques in there, ranging from ways to achieve complex layer masks, all the way to some texturing reminders.

Finally, please consider getting the bundle (only $29, available for a few more days). That I have some products in it is besides the point: it truly is a wonderful array of useful resources. It includes a few typefaces, some interesting PSDs to achieve screen printing and watercolor like effects in a few clicks, raster and vector textures, and more!

"View on Flickriver" Greasemonkey script

A Greasemonkey script that adds Flickriver links to various Flickr photo pages - user photos, favorites, pools etc, allowing to quickly open the corresponding Flickriver view.

Also, allows quickly viewing any Flickr photo on black background in large size.
