Buachaille Etive Mor - a photo on Flickriver

            This was my first visit to the Buachaille with my good friend Jim aka "Song of Stone" in early spring 2009.  It was a day trip which was stretching it a bit from Dundee and we only had 4 hours to cover this location and Rannoch Moor.

The light was a bit poor at Black Mount so we hoped for great things at the Buachaille.  We were not disappointed!  However on arrival we could not find the classic view point and it was only when driving down the Glen Etive road that we notied a large group of photographers and found this spot.  The group turned out to be a photography workshop with Ian Cameron.  

Its only when you get to the Buachaille that you appreciate the scale of this landscape.  It is simply breathtaking and hard to do justice through the lens.  
If ever there was a "must do location" in the UK this is it.  GO - its amazing!

3 stop ND grad and a 6 stop ND filters to give a long exposure and control the sky.  A little curves and colour balance was all that was needed in PS.  Enjoy.
