            *this sculpture is a on going project involving various cut out welded aluminum sections depicting the many characters of the Macondo, Yorosobi, Chango and Hormiguerros of Central American folklore so well described in the lyrics of the local Cumbia's and Sons but rarely depicted,; long fascinated with these bigger than lives characters and fascinated by the miracles they performed. I have had to rely on my imagination to paint them. Over the years I have painted thousands of interpretations based on the stories and poems dedicated to them. The above is the first time I have attempted to put them all to-gether by drawing them individually, than cutting and shaping them in aluminum and painting them in enamel in the "arte macanudo style" This is an ongoing project that when completed will consist of eight to ten sections that can be stuck together to be seen from all sides and from within since all sides are painted, the sculpture when completed can than be viewed in a rotating 160" degree carousel of whimsy and spiritually  uplifting  smorgasbord of devotion to these wonderful beings of the imagination that have ruled the world of the illiterate and poor who relayed on them for their healing power. I am photographing sections as I get them done before placing them to-gether so you may enjoy the individual sections since I don;t have a clue as to how the sculpture will photograph when completed
