The mission came in: find the Fool...

My first thought was the CD purchase I'd made back in the late 80's. I picked up the copy of Foghat's Fool for the City because I wanted a better-sounding copy than the one that the student radio station had at the time. During this time, CD was slowly replacing vinyl and the station only had the LP which had seen better days and exhibited quite a bit of "queue burn" because of the over-popular tracks. When I purchased this CD, I didn't even have a CD player of my own. Go figure.

What better way to represent "Fool" than to look at what turned out to be a less-than-important purchase that I've held onto for all these years. To cap it off, I had the hubris to think that I should write "Property of SEMigol" in the clear space around the spindle. As if someone would try to take it from me!

Snapped for the flickr group Mission24, where the 24 hour challenge is to find something that marks "Fool."

Taken with a Pentax K10D camera with the smc P-FA 50mm F1.4 lens using 21 mm of extension tube to reduce the minimum focal distance. No PP, this is straight from the camera.
