York flood - a photo on Flickriver

York flood

            The properties either side of the River Ouse in York centre flood on a regular basis, and this year is no exception. Flood defences protect the majority of other premises that otherwise would have been affected in years gone by, but those closest to the river at this point have had to adapt and new build has inbuilt expectation of flooding.
