Little church in a holler - a photo on Flickriver

When I'm photographing churches, I like to go behind the pulpit and see if there is a Bible there. If there is, I almost always read a few verses and then take a photo of what chapter the Bible is open. This act stimulates my imagination to give me a flavor of a past sermon preached within the church walls. Hopefully, that comes out in the photo.

Technical note: I used an old and favorite Rokinon APS-C cropped fisheye lens on my full-frame sensor camera set in cropped (DX) mode. I thought the fisheye lens would pull the small room into the image. Because of the crop effect, the 8mm in Nikon DX mode is equivalent to a 12mm fisheye look. There were some high dynamic light and shadow concerns (see the bright stained-glass windows and lights?) so I mounted the camera on a tripod to stop camera movement and bracketed three images two EVs apart. I merged the photos together in Lightroom, which created a larger file with better lighting and details.
