Here's to glorious days ahead... - a photo on Flickriver

            As I wrote this caption up, I kinda chuckled a little as summer in the UK has been a bit of a no-show, thanks to ocean currents, pressure differentials, climate change, Brexit etc :)

I have lived here for over a decade, and I can safely say that the summer this year has been more like late Autumn, and I shudder to think what late Autumn will bring us! 

Anyway, enough of my whinge about weather, I wanted to intersperse my travel pics with something local - local, the very word infuses a lot of nostalgia, which it shouldn't, as we are indeed breaking the shackles of the virus that ensnared a lot of our fellow earth dwellers. Having said that, the risk of contraction is still very high indoors, and since I rarely go indoors, I was eagerly looking forward to heading to some of my favourite spots and may be re-live some of those moments until the weather decided otherwise.

The Clevedon pier is one of my favourite spots in England, mainly because it is one of the most beautiful and elegant piers I have seen. Most piers are massive (cue Weston-super-mare one) and photographing such piers would be to bring out the culture and people side of things than to elicit the beauty of the pier itself, which is why I love this pier very much.

I have not had any opportunities to venture out yet (been 2 years since I had been out anywhere) and so here I am sitting in my home office hoping for a glorious Autumn ;)
