Sida acuta, the common wireweed is a species of flowering plant in the mallow family, Malvaceae.  It is so delicate.  It is believed to have originated in Central America, but today has a pantropical distribution and is considered a weed in some areas.  In northern Australia, Sida acuta is considered an invasive species, and the beetle Calligrapha pantherina has been introduced as a biological control agent in an attempt to control the plant. 

Sida acuta, de gewone draadwier is een soort van bloeiende plant in de kaasjeskruidfamilie, Malvaceae. Het is zo delicaat. Aangenomen wordt dat het afkomstig is uit Midden-Amerika, maar tegenwoordig een pantropische verspreiding heeft en in sommige gebieden als een onkruid wordt beschouwd. In Noord-Australië wordt Sida acuta beschouwd als een invasieve soort, en de kever Calligrapha pantherina is geïntroduceerd als een biologisch bestrijdingsmiddel in een poging de plant te bestrijden.

Esta es una especie de planta fanerógama perteneciente a la familia Malvaceae. Se cree que tiene un origen en Centroamérica, pero hoy tiene una distribución pantropical y está considerada una maleza en algunas áreas. Nombre común: Escobillo, escoba, escobilla, escobilla negra.

Malva-baixa, guaxuma, relógio, tupiticha, vassoura, vassourinha. É uma planta daninha muito comum em pastagens, beira de estradas e áreas abandonadas na região Sul do Brasil. Parece apresentar preferência por áreas próximas de currais e estábulos, pois estes locais são ricos em matéria orgânica.

Sida acuta, la comune wireweed è una specie di pianta da fiore della famiglia delle malva, Malvaceae. È così delicato. Si ritiene che abbia avuto origine in America centrale, ma oggi ha una distribuzione pantropicale ed è considerata un'erbaccia in alcune aree. Nell'Australia settentrionale, la Sida acuta è considerata una specie invasiva e il coleottero Calligrapha pantherina è stato introdotto come agente di controllo biologico nel tentativo di controllare la pianta.

Sida acuta, le fil-de-fer commun est une espèce de plante à fleurs de la famille des mauves, les Malvacées. C'est tellement délicat. On pense qu'elle est originaire d'Amérique centrale, mais a aujourd'hui une distribution pantropicale et est considérée comme une mauvaise herbe dans certaines régions. Dans le nord de l'Australie, Sida acuta est considérée comme une espèce envahissante et le coléoptère Calligrapha pantherina a été introduit comme agent de lutte biologique pour tenter de contrôler la plante.

Sida acuta, das gemeine Drahtkraut, ist eine blühende Pflanzenart aus der Malvenfamilie Malvaceae. Es ist so empfindlich. Es wird angenommen, dass es aus Mittelamerika stammt, aber heute eine pantropische Verbreitung hat und in einigen Gebieten als Unkraut gilt. In Nordaustralien gilt Sida acuta als invasive Art, und der Käfer Calligrapha pantherina wurde als biologisches Kontrollmittel eingeführt, um die Pflanze zu kontrollieren.

سيدا أكوتا ، الأعشاب السلكية الشائعة ، هو نبات مزهر من عائلة Malvaceae. إنه دقيق للغاية. يُعتقد أنه نشأ من أمريكا الوسطى ، ولكن له توزيع بانتروبي اليوم ويعتبر حشائشًا في بعض المناطق. في شمال أستراليا ، تعتبر Sida acuta من الأنواع الغازية وتم إدخال خنفساء Calligrapha pantherina كعامل تحكم بيولوجي للتحكم في النبات.
