Roiling and Boiling - a photo on Flickriver

            that is what the sky has been doing lately... 
THIS IS A 5 VERTICAL FRAME STITCH JOB...

last night, the stars shone brilliantly in Trout Lake, this morning mostly clear skies warmed my heart, with layers of soft whiteness like a blanket over Mt. Adams.  Within an hour most of the sky was gray, and as I approached White Salmon I see this writhing boiling mass of what appears to be mostly mammatus clouds...  
I was able to work on my truck with a friend, (thanks DNA and JAY! ) in dry weather, but later the rain started.  That went on for a couple or half dozen hours, then stars peeked out their heads between twisty shapes of white puffy clouds.  

Just another day of interesting weather in the Columbia Gorge! 

Oh... and my truck seems to be running so much smoother after some engine massage!  Thanks soooo much Jay, I did not know what to do, and your advice and assistance helped so much.  Now I feel like I CAN make a trip up to see my daughter, hurrah!
