The iconic 1960s fashion model Pattie Boyd, recently commissioned this portrait from expressionist artist Stephen B Whatley; after seeing the vibrant portraits the artist painted of her friend, entrepreneur Ivan Massow.

Pattie Boyd has led a colourful, eclectic life which has included marriages to legendary musicians George Harrison (from 1966-1974) and Eric Clapton (from 1979-1989); as documented in her best-selling autobiography, "Wonderful Life: George Harrison, Eric Clapton & Me" (2007). She has exhibited her stunning photographs from her times with George Harrison and The Beatles; and Eric Clapton all over the world, most recently in Washington, DC in October 2011.

As beautiful and glamorous as ever, Pattie Boyd sat graciously for Stephen B Whatley, in her London studio; her base as a professional photographer.

Poignantly, November of this year, when the portrait was painted, marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of George Harrison (February 25,1943- November 29, 2001) - with whom Pattie remained close until his death, despite their divorce - and reminders of the handsome singer and songwriter, through her ethereal photographs, light the white walls of her studio.
