Flakstadpollen

            Flakstad is a municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of the island group Lofoten. Most of the 1280 inhabitants live in the five traditional fishing villages of Ramberg, Fredvang, Napp, Sund and Nusfjord. This body of water, Flakstadpollen, is one of the most beautiful fjords in Lofoten. The water in Flakstadpollen can appear different colors due to variations in the amount of suspended sediment, plankton, and the depth of the water, which can cause light to reflect differently depending on the area, creating distinct color variations, often seen as a sharp contrast between a deep blue and a shallower, greener hue. Lofoten is known for distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands.
