Mt Baker Summit #1

            Taken just after sunrise on the 10,781 ft summit of Mt Baker. This panorama is looking East over many jagged peaks in the North Cascades. The jagged summit of 9,131ft Mt Shuksan is prominent in the mid-ground about 11 miles away. 

A great inversion layer kept the cloud ceiling down around 4,000 feet for almost the entire climb.  The air was perfectly still and only the slightest breeze disrupted an otherwise perfectly still and surreal place. There is an odd grey line around the horizon in the distance, I believe this is due to fires burning in Eastern Washington.
