Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus) - a photo on Flickriver

            This snowy owl was flying right at me.   I was wearing a coat with a faux fur edge on my hood.  I'm "guessing" that the owl thought it was going to catch a furry snack.  It flew past my right shoulder so close I could have reached out and touched it.  The owl then circled around me and landed in a tree.
