The Captain

            Portugal has great respect and appreciation for sculpture and there are many fine examples in regions throughout the country!  In Cascais there are many and this mariner standing at the rail of a ship stands in a prominent position looking out to sea and in more selfies than the sculptor ever imagined!  For me ancient mariners are somewhat sad, away from their beloved water all they can do is look out to sea and remember.
