            The 1912-built Sydney Harbour ferry Kanangra in her popular weekend harbour cruise role.  Here she's in Long Bay (Middle Harbour) with the Sydney Suburb of Cremorne in the background.

Photo is taken from the Northern Sydney suburb of Northbridge - most likely on a Saturday afternoon.

Kanangra was finally retired from service in 1985 after a remarkable working career spanning more than seven decades on Sydney Harbour.

She still exists and is wonderfully afloat in 2021 at the grand age of 109 years, and is owned and under active restoration by the Sydney Heritage Fleet - located in Sydney's Rozelle Bay.  It is intended that this rare and historic vessel be restored to full operating condition.
