            The 1912-built steel-hulled Sydney Harbour ferry Kanangra and the 1913-built timber-hulled Karingal alongside @ Wharf 2 Circular Quay.

Both of these remarkable Australian-built vessels would remain in service until the mid-1980s  -  by which time each could boast a working career in excess of 70 years!

Karingal sadly is no more, but Kanangra survives to this day and is currently located in Rozelle Bay  -  where she is under restoration by the Sydney Heritage Fleet.
