I always wonder about the dream states of birds ... if they're creating a wholeness by connecting their conscious and unconscious realms. Externally, for us, there’s serenity in birds flocked together for slumber. They utter the lightest warbles in their own language as their unconscious dreams meet life’s surface tension. Are they forming universal and species intelligence through some process of the collective unconscious? Are they releasing their brains to create something magnificent and transcendent from the mud and the marsh? Or, do they realize they are just magnificent enough as they are?
