Talbot Lago T150 SS Figoni & Falaschi "Goutte d'Eau" 1938

A pretty young lady poses next to a 1937/1938 Talbot Lago T150 SS Coupé. The car has the Belgian registration number 9.AJ.18. At the New York Salon, which lasted from October 27 to November 4, 1937, Talbot showed this extraordinary coupé, the Lago SS "Goutte d'eau" (“Teardrop”) with the wheels completely enclosed (not the car on this photo). The body was designed and built by Filoni & Falaschi. In early 1938, Talbot published a catalog especially devoted to the Lago SS. The engine was a 6-cylinder 160 hp. In 1938 a similar Talbot Lago SS finished in third place at Le Mans, behind two Delahayes. No more than sixteen copies of this Talbot Lago were made and each copy is different because they are made to the specific wishes of the buyers.
