I've got Sunshine... on a cloudy day.... SP 2499

            A photo from back in the days when there seemed to be a train on the Southern Pacific's Burbank Branch at least 5 days a week. The Van Nuys Local treads its way west through the Whitsett Avenue crossing in North Hollywood, with an accumulation of rainwater on the south side of the tracks in the median separating them from the eastbound lanes of Chandler Blvd. This also illustrates how bus service was provided on Chandler between Whitsett and Van Nuys Blvd... the line was reconfigured years later so that the buses would leave Chandler at Whitsett to go up to Burbank Blvd to continue to Van Nuys.

I believe this is from February, 1982.
