Jewels-of-Opar - incidental salad in my garden

             This small plant was self- seeded in my garden, as a weed . I left it growing, as it is nice looking. 
Eventually I've identified it as Talinum paniculatum  - it happens to be an edible plant, native to  the southern United States, much of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The leaves are the most common edible part of the plant, mainly consumed as a vegetable as salads, soups, and also used in traditional_medicine.
I used the fresh leaves for salad.
