MAKING OF:
These are two distinct, unique animals, not a double exposure!
These silver herons always come heavily overexposed as soon as there is a slightly darker background. Therefore I turned exposure compensation to -1,5 EV to avoid any blinkies in the histo. This worked out for the herons. As the forest in the background was very dark, almost black, the exp comp turned it completely into dark. The foggy overcast day favored this almost B/W impression.
