Scragg, Bucknall VT 9284 - a photo on Flickriver

            The bus service part of Scragg's fleet was mainly made up of Plaxton-bodied Mercedes in 2012, of little consequence except for this rarity, one of just two Plaxton Varios to be built with this shortened rear overhang, to the order of Richmond's Coaches of Barley, Herts. Presumably there was a particularly restricted section of route that required it, as they had earlier run Marshall-bodied 709s with a similar design. 

This one (V357 EKY) joined Scragg's in 2009, with twin V356 remaining with Richmond's until later in 2012, when it also came here. Both have since fallen foul of PSVAR, and have left the fleet.
