Copelands, Meir MIB 978 - a photo on Flickriver

            Procter's wasn't the only smart DAF Van Hool to pass through Hanley centre - one of the nearby fleet of Copelands was in hot pursuit. A year older than theirs as well, dating from late 1987, but improved by having later-style Alizee frontal treatment. 

This MB230 had been new to Eavesway Coaches as E315 EVH, and was that firm's first try at the chassis and body combination that would set them up for years to come. After 10 years there, it spent 8 years with Swiftsure Travel at Burton-on-Trent, and reached Copelands in 2005, where it would end its days in 2014.
