Orthodox church of Saint Ludmila - a photo on Flickriver

            A beautiful Orthodox church, pretty untypical for Czech lands. More orthodox churches can be found in a specific area around the city of Litovel, where orthodox Christans found their home, living in peace together with Catholics and othe Christian sects. The Orthodox christendom flourished mainly after 1918 with the founding of the modern Czechoslovakia and institutionalized freedom of faith. Saint Ludmila is a Bohemian saint from 9th Century, she is considered to be a patron saint of Bohemia.
