Slice of death - a photo on Flickriver

Slice of death

            A close look at the cap of what is probably Amanita flaviconia or possibly muscaria. Both are poisonous, but oh so beautiful and so when I saw the split in this one I knew I'd have to do a big stack. It's something like 40 images and shows what I think is a gill perfectly exposed.
