2018 - Vancouver - Pride Parade - 3 of 9 - The Prime Minister Marches

            Its been a number of years since we attended a Vancouver Pride Parade.  Being the parades 40th anniversary we went.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan made an appearance in the parade. 

Trudeau previously marched in the parade as a party leader in 2014 & 2015. In 2016, he became the first sitting prime minister to march in the parade.  In 2017, he opted to march in the Halifax and Toronto parades.

Trudeau commented:
 "We know that far too many homeless youth are from the LGBT community. We know the rates of teenage suicide within the LGBT community are four time as much as in other communities and eight times as much where the kids don’t have supportive parents, so there's a lot of work we need to do to come together to support the LGBT community."
