2023 - Portugal - 329 - Portimão - 19 of 37 - Azulejo in Jardim 1º de Dezembro

            Jardim 1º de Dezembro (Largo 1st of December) is small rectangular park across the street from the city municipal theatre.

The park edges are lined with commemorative benchess that mark the History of Portugal, through the illustrations drawn on azulejo tile panels above benches.

Jardim 1º de Outubro was built in the early 1930s, and the tiles on the benches were made at the Fábrica de Sacavém, in 1930.

This panel references the The Battle of Aljubarrota (14 August 1385).
