Sounding Out Spaces - a photo on Flickriver

So on our American road trip, Lauren and I started to give a project more of a tangible form. So we made a wee blog for it.

In essence it is environmental improvisation which -for me- involves taking pictures of things I have no control over. And for Lauren, it means improvising to things which she has no control over.

In this teaser, we were at Bombay Beach, on the Salton Sea. One of the bleakest parts of the USA, which also made it stunning. And I found her a piano spring-bed. Across the road lies a rail line carrying empty freight trains from Mexico, which contributed to the aria of seagulls and the saline stench of decay.
