Five leaves and a rock on moss - a photo on Flickriver

 Inetsuke-jo Ato (Inetsuke Castle Ruins) are ruins of medieval castle which located on the tongue-shaped plateaus about 21 meters above sea level. The castle was designed to utilize natural landscapes. It was recorded as a Hori-ato (trench remains) in the Shinpen Musashi Fudoki Ko (A topography of Musashi Province from 1804 to 1829).
  It is thought that main castle was constructed on the plateau terrace where currently Josho-ji Temple. The north and the east-west sides are steep cliff, and the plateau is followed by flat on the south side. According to the excavation around Josho-ji Temple, the dry moat remains (width about 12m, depth about 6m) were found with artifacts in the early 16th century.
  A wooden seated statue of Ota Dokan is inherited in Josho-ji Temple. In the history of temple, Ota Dokan constructed Inetsuke-jo Castle. There is no archives specified the castle builder, but the result of excavation suggests that this castle is though to be related to Ogigayatsu Uesugi Clan. Also Ota Dokan was the main retainer of Ogigayatsu Uesugi Clan, so he might be built the castle.
