The Hotel Orient Taj, Agra - a photo on Flickriver

            The finely detailed lobby of the Orient Taj, a new hotel in Agra.  The hotel took over ten years to build and has yet to be completed.  The owner, a local construction magnate, spared little expense in lavishing the place with gold leaf and marble.  There are still a few kinks to be worked out with service and a few issues with electricity and hot water.  Still, the hotel is quite something to behold.  There could not possibly have been more than thirty guests in the hotel while I was there.  Of course, August is the off-season in Agra.
