If you look at a tree careful enough...

            I think this male Anna's Hummingbird (Calypte anna) has taken up residence in my yard.  This will be the first time, that I know of, that one has wintered over in my garden.  I suppose I'll have to figure out how to keep the hummingbird feeder from freezing!
