Situat a la comarca de l'Horta Sud, es troba a 8 km de la capital València i molt a prop del llac valencià per exceŀlència, l'Albufera. El seu port de l'Albufera es famós, gràcies al qual s'ha convertit en el bressol de l'all i pebre (plat típic valencià la base principal del qual és l'anguila).
S'estén per una extensa plana aŀluvial enfonsada des del Miocè, que s'eleva des de la mar Mediterrània fins als turons de l'oest.
L'horta i la marjal són els elements més definitoris del paisatge, on l'Albufera amb les seues barques, la pesca, el port i el conreu de l'arròs són la raó de la seua existència. Els camps d'arròs amb les xicotetes construccions que alberguen els motors d'aigua i els horts de taronges conformen el paisatge agrari a l'actualitat. El clima és mediterrani.


Situado en la comarca de la Huerta Sur, se encuentra a 8 km de la capital de la Comunidad Valenciana, Valencia, y a orillas del lago valenciano por excelencia, la Albufera de Valencia. Su puerto de Albufera es famoso, y gracias a él se ha convertido en la cuna del all i pebre (plato típico valenciano cuya base principal es la anguila).
Catarroja se extiende por una amplia llanura aluvial, hundida desde el Mioceno, que se eleva desde el mar Mediterráneo hacia los cerros del oeste de la comarca.
La huerta y la marjal son los elementos más definitorios del paisaje, donde la Albufera con sus barcas, la pesca, el puerto y el cultivo del arroz configuran su esencia.
Los campos de arroz con las pequeñas construcciones que albergan los motores de agua y los huertos de naranjos conforman el paisaje agrario en la actualidad. El clima es mediterráneo.
