            One of our little guys was hit by a car a little ways down the street last weekend and had to be euthanized after a kind young man rescued him from the side of the road.  Couldn’t help looking through older images and wondering which one didn’t make it.  It’s estimated that only 25% of kits survive their first year with an adult mortality rate of 50% for each subsequent year.  The foxes in our street have elected to take their chances with the local traffic vs evading predators in the neighbouring provincial park.
