Gare de Curepipe

L'île Maurice, ancienne colonie Anglaise,  a eu un réseau de chemin de fer qui a compté plus de 200 km de lignes à écartement normal. Après la suppression définitive du service passager sur la ligne Port-Louis – Curepipe en 1956, le train servira exclusivement au transport du sucre jusqu’à sa suppression définitive le 15 février 1964. Le matériel et la voie sera revendu à Israël et à la Rhodésie.
